Romantic Comedy Girl, that’s my name because this site is for my fellow romantic comedy watching, chick lit reading, can relate to my musings: gals. It’s fictionalized, which means stuff is made up, but no doubt the “right” guys will come across it and be scared away or even worse, the “wrong” guys will find it and see it as an opportunity to ask me out. Thanks, but no thanks.
I want to dedicate this blog to Jen Grisanti, who inspired me to dig deeper into my stories and to my mentor and “girlie-muse” Ali Brown.
Personally, I love romantic comedies, have since I was a kid. When I moved out to Los Angeles from NY, I wanted to be the next Vivian Ward (Pretty Woman) or the next Lucy Eleanor Moderatz (While You Were Sleeping). I even wrote romantic comedies.. great high concept ones. What fascinates me the most is if you really look at the structure of a romantic comedy, the happy ending comes just then… at the end. And who knows if they live happily ever after? It’s all the moments that lead up to that happy ending, the embarrassment, the frustrations, the loneliness, the insecurities, the “open mouth insert foot” moments that I can relate to because I too am just stumbling along trying to find my happy ending.
This blog was started at the two year mark of building my own business as a female entrepreneur. I had completely lost sight of my creative outlets. This became my outlet, to stay connected to the creativity I crave.
ENJOY!
Ahhh…RomanticComedyGirl…vulnerability is the core of all great actresses. I applaud your courage and I can’t wait to see what you do with this!
You go romanticcomedygirl! Here’s to being vulnerable. Perhaps one day we will all reveal ourselves….what a funny world that would be. Until then, I’ll keep reading.

How does one send you an email?
I’ve never been asked that before. People usually just comment on the blog. I set up an email address for Romantic Comedy Girl. May I ask what this is about, only because I’m super paranoid about spam?
